On December 7, PhRMA participated in The Hill’s event: U.S. Healthcare’s Annual Checkup. PhRMA’s President and CEO, Stephen J. Ubl, spoke during the “Mission to End Cancer” panel about the need to develop groundbreaking innovations that provide cancer patients with affordable treatments and the policies that are standing in the way, like government price setting for medicines and attacks on IP protections. He advocated for policies that nurture advancements in oncology and reforms that address two drivers of patients’ out-of-pocket costs: PBMs and the 340B program.
