On October 31, 2023, America’s Physician Groups invited PhRMA’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Michael Ybarra, to speak at their 2023 Annual Fall Conference. Dr. Ybarra participated in the panel titled, “The Inflation Reduction Act: Achievements and Future Challenges,” which addressed the law’s impact on Medicare, R&D and innovation. Dr. Ybarra advocated for patient-centered solutions that will address patient access and affordability challenges without the unintended consequences of the Inflation Reduction Act’s price-setting provisions.
