Research in Your Backyard: Developing Cures, Creating Jobs - Pharmaceutical Clinical Trials in Montana

Biopharmaceutical research companies are conducting or have conducted more than 1,200 clinical trials of new medicines in collaboration with the state’s clinical research centers and hospitals (2004 to present).

In 2017 alone, there were 133 active industry-sponsored clinical trials in Montana, with an estimated enrollment of 3,242 Montana residents. The investment at clinical trial sites was more than $153 million and the estimated total economic impact was more than $394 million.
