PhRMA Foundation Adherence Evaluation Research Award

The adherence evaluation grant offers funding for research focused on improving medication adherence. This initiative will fund studies that are designed to evaluate interventions or efforts to improve adherence within a health plan or other healthcare setting. The size of the award will depend on the scope, rigor, and duration of the proposed research. The application deadline is February 1, 2014.  After that date, applications may be accepted on a rolling basis. The PhRMA Foundation Young Investigator Award Program provides stipend support for career development activities of individuals prepared to engage in research that is aimed at encouraging improved medication adherence. Relevant research topics should go beyond characterizations of reasons for nonadherence and may include, but are not limited to: heterogeneity in patient populations, translating promising interventions to a real world environment, the role of provider, payer, and patient  incentives.
