The ABCs of Health Coverage

 

Insurance jargon can be confusing. Whether you’ve been choosing a health plan annually for years or have coverage for the first time, it can be tricky to figure out exactly what your plan covers and how to prepare for out-of-pocket costs.

We’ve already released two videos to help cut through the clutter about basic insurance terms and how insurance covers your medicines. Making sure patients have access to the health treatments and services they need is critical and a big piece of that is understanding how coverage works and where to find information about how a plan treats your needs. Our latest video looks at possible hurdles patients may face in accessing a needed medicine.

The site includes whiteboard videos breaking down the basics, an interactive glossary of health care terms, news updates, research and primers on coverage basics, including five things to consider when choosing your health coverage.
