Despite the current unprecedented pace of biopharmaceutical innovation, patients continue to face rising out-of-pocket costs and other barriers to care. Tomorrow, in partnership with The Atlantic, PhRMA will bring together industry experts, thought-leaders and other stakeholders to examine these challenges and to explore ways we can move towards a value-driven health care system.
As part of the GOBOLDLY campaign, The State of Care: Patient Access & Affordability will include a sponsored discussion with Stephen J. Ubl, president and CEO of PhRMA, on how we can afford the new era of medicine. Jamey Millar, senior vice president of managed markets and government affairs at GlaxoSmithKline, will join a panel of health care thought-leaders to explore how we define value and create payment models that better serve patients. The event will also feature a keynote interview with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Scott Gottlieb.
With the pipeline of new treatments and cures more promising than ever, it is critical that we ensure the future sustainability of the U.S. health care system so that patients have access to the medicines they need. Join us online on Wednesday, May 23, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. EST to hear from this important group of health care leaders.
