Importance of Clinical Trials in India

Importance of Clinical Trials in India

01.14.13 | By Mark Grayson

In the last few weeks there has been much written about the need to ensure appropriate clinical trials in India. Today, Jay Taylor, Vice President of International at PhRMA published an article on this subject on Apothecurry, an influential health site in India.

It is especially noteworthy that when looking at the facts "the death rate for patients enrolled in clinical trials is approximately half the death rate for the general population in India."

Jay also notes that PhRMA companies have adopted Principles on the Conduct on Clinical Trials that govern those clinical trials wherever they are conducted.

I think you will find Jay's post on Apothecurry very worth your while in getting a good idea of PhRMA's views.
